So, What is Scratch? Scratch is a friendly programming environment for Children and Adults alike. It's a very easy drag-and-drog coding website. You can use it to tell stories, make games, quizzes and even to make your own music. When you click on the Join Scratch button, you will be prompted to enter your details, I don't use my real name as my scratch account name, its better to use a nickname or a username and password you will remember.
Once you have filled in all your details you will see the thanks for joining scratch piece and then you are ready to create. You will also need to verify your scratch account or have your parents verify by clicking the link in their email.

There are some simple ways to get started making your first project! When you are on the Scratch homepage you will see these icons.
If you click on Learn how to make a project in Scratch there are lessons which guide you through all the different parts of scratch. They appear on the right hand side of your scratch interface so you can copy their instructions and build your project following their steps.
In Starter Projects you can try out other people projects and remix them to make your own changes. There are choices from animations, games, interactive art, music and dance, stories and video sensing you can chose from.
In connect with others you can see scratch projects that others have shared.
